Natalia Solomonoff is an argentinian composer born in Rosario. She works diferents Topics as politic, compositional processes, intertextuality, material and symbolic in music.
She has published in specialized magazines and books from several publishers such as Casa de las Américas (La Habana), Musiktexte (Köln), Revista Pilacremus (UNAM, Mexico), Gourmet Musical (Buenos Aires), Iberoamerikanisches Institut Berlín/ Iberoamericana-Vervuert (Frankfurt am Main- Madrid), Biblioteca Nacional (Buenos Aires), She was compiler of the Book Lecturas/ Escuchas periféricas, by Suono Mobile (Córdoba). Her music was recorded by the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Asociación Editar, ACC Ediciones, MEI-Música para flautas, among others ( see Discografía).
Since 2014 Natalia Solomonoff teaches composition at the Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Santa Fe. She teaches also at the Instituto Superior del Profesorado de Música in Rosario.
She studied at the Instituto Superior del Profesorado de Música de Rosario and at the Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral. At first, composition with Diana Rud and Jorge Horst as well Analyse with Mariano Etkin, then several courses by Gerardo Gandini, Francisco Kröpfl and others in Buenos Aires on a scholarship from Fundación Antorchas and Camping Musical Bariloche (Argentina). She continued her studies with Nicolaus A. Huber at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen (Germany), on a grant of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and attended courses with Mathias Spahlinger at the Institut für Neue Musik Freiburg on a new grant of the DAAD.
Her most important referents in Latinamerica are Graciela Paraskevaídis, Coriún Aharonian and Cergio Prudencio.
Natalia Solomonoff has received prizes and awards from Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Secretaría de Cultura de la Provincia de Santa Fe, SADAIC, Afroasiatisches Institut, Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Fundación Antorchas and others. Her music was performed in numerous concerts and festivals in Europe and the Americas.
Composer in Residence at the Schlesswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus (Eckernförde) and at the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (OEIN) (La Paz, Bolivia), she was guest composer at numerous international festivals, as Weaving Music for Radio by Latin American Women Composers (Curitiba, 2018) -UNESCO-, Festival Internacional Distat Terra/ Fundación Antiqua Nova (Choele Choel, 2018), XXI Festival de Música Contemporánea del Teatro General San Martín (Buenos Aires, 2017), Ciclo de Conciertos Monográficos Biblioteca Contemporánea (Buenos Aires, 2017), IIIº Simposio Internacional Música Nova (Curitiba, 2016), Internationales Festival für Neue Musik Provinzlärm (Eckernförde, 2015 y 2012), Forum Nueva Música (Córdoba, 2015 y 2013), VI Encuentro Internacional de Compositores (Santiago de Chile, 2014), Chiffren: Kieler Tage für neue Musik (Kiel, 2009 y 2012), Festival für Neue Musik La otra América-Deutschlandfunk-Köln-, among others.
Commissions from the UNESCO, Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Santa Fe, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Ensemble Aventure and Ensemble Reflexion K (Germany), Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos de Bolivia, Ensemble La Machine and Ensemble L’echelle (Canada), Duo MEI-música para flautas, Compañía Oblicua and Sinfonietta Omega (Buenos Aires), among others. Her Music was played also by: Ensemble Vocal de Solistas Nonsense (Buenos Aires), Marc Takeshi Mc. Gregor (Canada), Ensemble New Babylon (Dresden), Ensemble Aisthesis (Heidelberg), Ensemble Garage (Köln), Ensamble CG (Colombia) in England, Germany, Spain, Canadá, México, U.S.A., Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Perú and Argentina.

Natalia Solomonoff was curator of the monographic Concert at the Ciclo Biblioteca Contemporánea (Buenos Aires, 2017) and the Festival Sonoramas- Encuentro Internacional de Música Contemporánea 2011 at the Centro Cultural Parque de España in Rosario.
